Ajegunle has been described as a community that epitomises the entity called Nigeria. It is a community that swims in the pool of neglect, tragicomedy, absurdities and fame.
Ajegunle means different things to different folks. To some, it is a Lagos suburb that is notorious for its filthiness and criminal tendencies. To some, it is an undesired debacle in the midst of a sprawling megacity. To others, it ranks as one of Nigeria’s most disturbing ghettos.
As part of Bruder Hilfe’s core objective to touch the lives of Nigerians most especially “the vulnerable ones”, the NGO has commenced plans to touch as many lives in Ajegunle community, off Ikorodu road , Lagos state, Nigeria. Bruder-Hilfe’s registration forms have been dispatched to all nooks and crannies of the community in a bid to capture the first hand information of the residents and make targeted plans on salvaging the deficiencies.
The NGO also donated lots of clothes and other relief materials during the familiarization and registration tour . The Coordinator of Bruder Hilfe, *Mrs Mary Bruder* affirmed that plans are in place to commence the distribution of other aid materials and provide FREE medical services to the needy by February, 2018.
